The Wisconsin Entomological Society was founded in 1969, to promote the study of entomology in all of its branches, particularly in Wisconsin and the surrounding states. This purpose is pursued by encouraging and facilitating the exchange of information, ideas, data and specimens between and among avocational and professional entomologists. Two meetings a year are usually held: our annual Meeting in Autumn and a Spring Meeting.  Additional field outings occur throughout the year. The Wisconsin Entomological Society publishes a newsletter, consisting of short articles from members three times per year. A Special Publications series has been initiated, and members are encouraged to consider the series for publication of checklists and articles of regional interest.
